History
Le Nouvelliste is regional newspaper, based in Trois-Rivières, Quebec and is publishing in French language. "The Phantom" first appeared in Le Nouvelliste on February 7, 1948, and had been published on Saturday, one day before appearance in American newspapers, until to cancellation of the Phantom Sunday strips in this newspaper on September 12, 1953. From November 1955, the Phantom daily strips started in this newspaper.
