The Wambesi is the greatest tribe in the Bangalla jungle. The current chief is Wambatta. A well known member of the tribe is Lothar, friend of Mandrake the Magician and prince of the seven nations.

The Wambesi people are farmers and hold cattle, while they loathes goats as their biggest concurrents, Llongo, hold, thinking that they stink. ("The Snake Goddess")
